Perpetuo Socorro Hospital’s Ophthalmology Unit always employs cutting-edge medical and surgical treatments that give its patients a better quality of life. It has an Ophthalmology Service that specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of eye problems and disorders, making it the benchmark hospital in our region.
The partnerships with the Canary Island Healthcare Service, which have resulted in more than 3000 surgical procedures in the last year, and the agreement with all the private insurance companies are proof of this.
We are also committed to treating all kinds of eye disease, both through medical and surgical treatment, using the latest technology on the market: short-sightedness, far-sightedness and astigmatism; presbyopia (age-related); glaucoma; pathologies of the eyelids and appendages; corneal, retinal and vitreous pathologies; cataract surgery, etc.
New Excimer Laser
The Perpetuo Socorro Hospital, true to its philosophy of innovation, has acquired a SCHWIND AMARIS 500E LASER, the new generation of Excimer Laser Technology, synonymous with perfection and efficiency, for its Ophthalmology Unit. This is a high performance laser for the treatment of refractive defects and the only one in the Canary Islands.
