The internal medicine specialist works closely with the other specialities, offering highly-specialised care and operating in the field of prevention. This Unit is responsible for drafting preparatory reports in order to classify surgical risk for the patients who are going to be placed under anaesthetic and be operated on.
Preventative Unit:

There is also a medical and check-up unit in which detailed health studies are carried out on the patient, providing a diagnosis and treatment to be followed, as well as directing the client to the corresponding service for his or her subsequent monitoring.
Care Unit:
This consists of daily visits to hospitalised patients at any time of day or night, including bank holidays, thus establishing a work plan in accordance with the individual needs of each patient and providing detailed information to family members regarding progression and prognosis.
Outpatient Consultations:
In which patients who wish to be monitored are subsequently seen to and given relevant check-ups according to their pathology.
