Caring for the elderly is one of the basic cornerstones of any society and at the Perpetuo Socorro Hospital we have a team of professionals who are experts in health and social care for elderly people and their families, both with respect to diagnoses and to treatment and subsequent monitoring and assessment.

The primary goal of the Geriatrics Unit is the functional recovery of ill and incapacitated elderly people to reach the maximum possible level of autonomy and independence, thus facilitating their reintegration into a self-sufficient life at home and in their normal environment.

The Geriatrics Unit is appropriately structured and operated with sufficient human resources and infrastructure to provide a high level of care.
