Perpetuo Socorro Hospital’s Radiology Unit has a prestigious, multidisciplinary group of professionals and the most modern technology available today. Service available 24 hours a day / 365 days a year.
From the start, this Unit was conceived as an area that complies with all the requirements of international standards. Its equipment uses cutting-edge technology as does its organisation, being a fully digitalised unit which also has long-term electronic image storage systems.
Equipment
This Unit has the most advanced equipment available and the best MRI and CT equipment in the country:
- Philips Achieva Quasar 3 Tesla MRI Equipment.
- Philips Gyroscan 5349 Intera 1.5t Omni MRI Equipment.
- General Electric Vct 64c./s. CT scanner.
The Department also has other excellent pieces of equipment:
- Mammography for screening and early diagnosis of breast pathologies.
- Remotely-controlled digital radiology room.
- Colour Doppler ultrasound which meets the highest demands for ultrasound and Dopplers.
- General Electric Conventional Radiology Equipment.
- Philips and General Electric mobile X-ray equipment.
- Densitometer.
- Orthopantomograph.
The Diagnostic Imaging Unit is equipped with the best equipment for the scanning and storage of images, RIS (Radiology Information System) and PACS (picture archiving and communication system) by General Electric.
Thanks to its high definition diagnostics stations, the Diagnostic Imaging Medical Team will compare your previous studies at the Hospital to produce a better diagnosis of your case.
All the Hospital’s doctors will have immediate access to the images from your radiology studies from their consultation rooms and from the hospitalisation floors thanks to computerised medical records.
Since 2007, our Diagnostic Imaging Department has had a powerful Teleradiology unit with capability of working in real time and remotely on our digital systems.
