Anaesthesia and Resuscitation

The Anaesthesia and Resuscitation Service offers the maximum guarantee that your surgical intervention will be a complete success, offering a personalised service based on your physical and psychological conditions and the pathology being treated. For this reason, we provide healthcare aimed at reducing prior anxiety, maintaining your physical condition during surgery and reducing postoperative side effects, following the protocols of National and International Anaesthesiology Companies.

Services

  • Pre-anaesthesia consultation.
  • Sedation for diagnostic procedures (endoscopy, MRI, invasive cardiology studies, etc.).
  • Anaesthesia for outpatient procedures, allowing early discharge without hospitalisation.
  • Anaesthesia for major outpatient surgery.
  • Anaesthesia for complex major surgery (neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, laparoscopic surgery in urology, general surgery, obesity surgery, otolaryngology, etc.).
  • Control in Post-anaesthesia care unit.
  • Control of postoperative pain.
  • Paediatric surgery.

Techniques

Our Service does not treat conditions in themselves. Our job is to provide safe conditions for your surgery allowing the side effects to be reduced (nausea, vomiting, pain, etc.) and also improving your recovery, thus allowing a speedy return home.

We work to treat patients individually according to the physical and psychological characteristics of the person and the surgery to be performed, allowing the surgeon to work safely and efficiently to resolve the problem.

We apply the same techniques in postoperative analgesia to reduce the discomfort of surgery and allow early rehabilitation.

We use the latest monitoring methods to control the patient’s condition during surgery (electroencephalography, computerised anaesthesia infuser, control of intraoperative blood values, ultrasound to efficiently and safely guide the techniques required, the latest anaesthesia equipment).

Equipment

Preoperative unit with ultrasound, peripheral nerve stimulators and painless needles, to carry out intra-postoperative sedation and analgesic techniques.

PACU with non-invasive haemodynamic monitoring, ECG and oxygen saturation.

Operating theatres with the latest anaesthesia equipment from the Dräger brand, electroencephalography system (BIS), computerised anaesthetic infusers. Intraoperative monitoring of neuromuscular blockade.
Invasive and non-invasive haemodynamic monitoring of arterial and venous pressure. ECG, oxygen saturation and concentration of carbon dioxide.
